[Redacted] + J.J. Pryor

When you see someone pushing a rock, maybe help them push?

I’ve never heard of [redacted] until the past few weeks, when an article by a Medium writer I read frequently, J.J. Pryor, came across my feed.

The title was catchy. “1 Random Fact About [redacted]Per Day Until [redacted] Comments Day 31.”

That’s good stuff, right there.

So much clarity in that title! I knew instantly what I would find in the article, what the larger purpose was, and I even had a concept of when the project would end, if not a certain date or number.

FACTS

But who the heck was [redacted]? I surmised he was an actor of some sort, or maybe a director. The facts were not always illuminating.

#31 — He played in the World Series of Poker in 2005.

#32 — He loves cats and made a Twitter account for his cat.

#40 — There exists a Lego figurine of [redacted]’s character in the Star Trek: The Next Generation series.

That last one pointed to “actor”, though J.J. unhelpfully says the figurine is “of [redacted]”, not “of [redacted]’s character.” This took some deduction.

There just aren’t a lot of figurines made of the directors of sci-fi franchises. Sadly.
